Police have registered a case towards six individuals for allegedly dishonest a banker and 6 others of about Rs 80 lakh after promising to get them flats and retailers in Maharashtra’s Thane district, an official stated on Thursday.

In his grievance to the Kapurbawdi police, the complainant, who works as a senior official in a personal financial institution, stated the accused had collected Rs 79.89 lakh from seven of them in 2015.

Police stated the accused had promised the 43-year-old complainant and 6 others flats and retailers in an upcoming housing in Bhiwandi.

Nonetheless, the shoppers neither received any property nor the refund of their cash regardless of follow-ups, the official stated citing the FIR.
