Fake Call Centre Luring People With Overseas Jobs Busted, 8 Arrested: Gurugram Cops

Gurugram:

Gurugram Police have arrested eight individuals, together with 4 ladies, for allegedly operating a pretend name centre and duping individuals on the pretext of offering abroad jobs.

The suspects created a pretend job web site — internationaljobsolutions.com — and picked up information of the job aspirants from a web-based portal (shine.com) whom they duped over the previous six months, the police stated on Thursday.

The accused have been recognized as Nagender Kumar, Vikrant Singh, Ravi Kumar, Kajal, Garima, Ranjan Kumar, Sahil Punia, and Agnes Franesh.

The police obtained a tip-off on Thursday about an unlawful name centre working from the Palam Vihar space in Gurugram. A raid was carried out which led to the arrest of the eight accused individuals, stated Varun Dahiya, ACP (Crime).

The accused tele-callers lured unemployed youth promising abroad jobs and even despatched them cast appointment letters on WhatsApp towards a sum of Rs 2-3 lakh.

The tele-callers got a wage of Rs 18,000 monthly, the ACP stated.

Ten cellphones, 4 laptops, and different incriminating objects had been seized through the raid, the officer added.
