8 College Students Hospitalised After Gas Leak From Tanker In Kerala: Cops

No less than eight college students of a nursing faculty had been hospitalised on Saturday following a fuel leak from a tanker lorry in Ramapuram on this district.

The scholars of the school developed uneasiness and respiration problem and had been rushed to Pariyaram Medical School and Pazhayangadi taluk hospital.

Their situation is steady, police mentioned.

Hydrochloric acid leaked from the tanker lorry on Friday night when it was enroute to Ernakulam from neighbouring Karnataka.

Although a fireforce staff from Payyannur and Pariyayam police rushed to the world and initiated additional proceedings, the leak couldn’t be not contained utterly, authorities mentioned.

The leak was detected within the rear facet valve of the container and the automobile was quickly shifted to a safer place by the fireplace pressure.

Thaliparamba Income Divisional Officer (RDO) Ajayakumar mentioned steps had been being taken to switch the fuel to a different tanker.
