In a jolt to the Congress in Haryana the place meeting polls are due in October, the get together’s senior chief Kiran Choudhary and her daughter Shruti Choudhary will be part of the ruling BJP on Wednesday.
Confirming the event, Kiran Choudhary, who can be a sitting MLA, informed PTI she is quitting the Congress and becoming a member of the BJP on Wednesday.
Her daughter Shruti Choudhary, a former MP, is a working president of the Haryana Congress.
Kiran Choudhary, daughter-in-law of former Haryana chief minister Bansi Lal, is taken into account the bete noire of senior Congress chief Bhupinder Singh Hooda and is learnt to be upset with the denial of ticket to Shruti Choudhary from Bhiwani-Mahendragarh constituency within the lately concluded Lok Sabha polls.
The Congress had given the ticket from the seat to sitting MLA and Hooda loyalist Rao Dan Singh, who misplaced to BJP’s sitting MP Dharambir Singh.
“Shruti and I might be becoming a member of the BJP in Delhi on Wednesday,” Kiran Choudhary mentioned.
Taking a veiled dig at Mr Hooda, Ms Choudhary mentioned, “They’ve pushed me right into a nook. There’s a restrict to humiliation one can undergo.”
Ms Choudhary mentioned each she and her daughter will resign from the first membership of the Congress to hitch the BJP. Ms Shruti will stop as working president of Haryana Congress, she mentioned.
