Meta-owned Instagram on Saturday suffered a significant outage globally, together with in India, as hundreds of customers have been unable to load Reels and entry different choices.
As per web site outage monitoring web site Downdetector, over 6,500 customers reported points with accessing the platform in India on the peak of an outage at round 12.02 p.m.
About 58 per cent reported issues with the feed, 32 per cent with the app, and 10 per cent with server connection.
Customers from Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and others confronted points with the app.
Customers took to X to vent their frustration as they have been unable to log in to the app, load Reels, and others.
“Everybody going in direction of Twitter to test if Instagram is down,” a consumer wrote.
“I assumed my Instagram bought hacked cuz there is no manner my fyp seems to be like this. It is all mind rot normally #instagramdown,” one other consumer mentioned.
Another consumer said, “Me going to Twitter to test if it is solely my Instagram that is down, or all of us are struggling #instagramdown”.
