Ukraine and Japan on Thursday signed a 10-year safety settlement on the sidelines of the G7 summit, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated.

Ukraine, greater than two years because it was invaded by Russia, has signed 15 different related agreements pledging long-term help from its allies together with Britain, France and Germany.

“In 2024, Japan will present Ukraine with $4.5 billion and can proceed to help us all through the settlement’s complete 10-year time period,” Zelenskiy stated on X.

The deal, he added, envisages safety and defence help, humanitarian support, technical and monetary cooperation.

Zelenskiy thanked Japan for “unwavering solidarity” and dedication to defending worldwide legislation.

The same settlement with the U.S. is predicted to be signed later on the summit in Italy.
